Fortune Teller Nostradamus Has Made Five Chilling Predictions For 2023

In the 16th century, French astrologer Michel de Nostradame made a number of worldly predictions - many of which did incredibly come to fruition.

According to Yearly-Horoscope, 70% of his predictions actually came true, including the death of Henry II in 1559, the rise of Adolf Hitler, and references to John F. Kennedy's assassination (thought it's important to note that some of these predictions were vague to say the least).

Now, people are keen to revisit the fortune teller's prophecies following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, with some claiming he accurately predicted Her Majesty's death - crucially, others have refuted this.

Apparently, Nostradamus indicated that King Charles will abdicate the throne, leaving it to Harry instead. But it's 2023's supposed predictions that have got people talking on social media, as it seems things could really be about to go off in the next year if his predictions are accurate...

Nostradamus allegedly suggests the Russo-Ukrainian war could escalate into a full blown world war, however many are saying his prediction could also be referencing the conflict going on in Southeast Asia between China and Taiwan due to the possibility of nuclear-related war. When it comes to space, the astrologer reportedly predicts that there will be a major scientific breakthrough next year specifically related to Mars, suggesting that a 'light will fall' on the planet - could this mean humans may begin to visit?

Perhaps a little more ominously, he also supposedly predicts that Pope Francis will step down in 2023 and will be replaced by a menacing leader.

"In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will be Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations, after which the seven hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people," the prophecy reads.

A 'celestial fire on the Royal edifice' has also been predicted by the astrologer, which could either be interpreted as significant changes to the world as we know it or quite alarmingly the 'end of times'...

One author who published the 2005 book Nostradamus: The Complete Prophecies for the Future - in which he put forward his own interpretations of Nostradamus' predictions - honed in on what may happen with King Charles III.

Nostradamus quatrain 10/22 reads: “Because they disapproved of his divorce, A man who later they considered unworthy; The People will force out the King of the islands; A Man will replace who never expected to be king.”

Mario Reading, the author of the 2005 book, claims that this quatrain predicts that King Charles will abdicate because he is 'weary at the persistent attacks on both himself and second wife' due to 'resentments held against him by a certain proportion of the British population, following his divorce from Diana, Princess of Wales'.

The book goes on to conclude that it is Prince Harry who will replace his father as the next Monarch.
