Woman Divides Internet With Simple Time Question

A TikToker has managed to divide the internet by asking one simple question related to time - or rather, the way we speak about it.
Erica Mallett recently uploaded a 22-second clip that has left social media users fighting it out in the comments section, provoking a heated debate over what is seemingly a very trivial question.
Speaking to viewers, Mallett asked: "If I say we have a meeting at midday and then I say 'Can we move it forward two hours?' What time is that?"

Before asking the question that has managed to enrage so many, Mallett said: "You don't really know someone until you've asked them this question."
"You could have known them for ten, fifteen years – you feel like you know them inside and out but the answer to this question will change everything you think you knew about them."
And to be honest, it seems like people really do feel that strongly about it.
The question has left some baffled - with one commenter joking: "I'm tryna figure out how I got 4pm." But the majority are ardently defending their answers.
Racking up over 20 million views in one day and receiving 83,300 replies (and counting), it's fair to say this one has got people riled up.
One user wrote: "Anyone not saying 10am is just wrong", whilst another added: "I said 10am. My husband said 2pm. Wow. This was a weird way to find out I'm getting divorced."
Others picked apart the TikToker's wording, labelling it purposely misleading. One commenter said: "If you BRING it forward it would be 10am. If you MOVE it forward it would be 2pm," but not everyone is convinced by this logic.
Another person joked: "I'm Finnish, just tell me the new time you are proposing". Essentially, people are debating whether the terms "move" or "bring" are what indicate whether something happens sooner or later, while others are insisting it's the "forward" part that matters, meaning the answer should always be 10am.
One user explained this perspective, saying: "10am. Forward/back is what you do to the time in relation to you. Forward = closer/earlier. Back = further/later."
Another user raised perhaps the most valid point of them all, asking: "But do we really need to have a meeting or can everything be resolved by an email?”
We'll let you argue this one out amongst yourselves...
