New Series Of Balamory Will Hit The BBC This Month

If you suddenly found yourself humming “What’s the story in Balamory?” this week, trust us, you’re not the only one. The iconic CBeebies favourite is officially making its comeback 21 years after it last aired, and honestly, this might be the most wholesome reboot news of 2026.

The revival is keeping everything that made the original such a comfort-watch classic: the familiar pastel houses, the community feel, the catchy songs you still somehow know every word to, and of course, the sense that every tiny problem can be solved in under 15 minutes. For anyone who grew up rushing home for after school episodes, it’s a serious nostalgia hit.

Even better, some of the show’s most beloved characters are returning. Miss Hoolie, PC Plum, Penny Pocket and Edie McCredie are all back, with the original cast reprising their roles.
