The Inbetweeners Looks Set To Return In Brand-New Netflix Movie
A deal is reportedly close to being finalised...
This might just be the good news we’ve all been waiting (and quietly rewatching boxsets) for…
Yep, The Inbetweeners could officially be making a comeback. And not just any comeback… we’re talking a brand new Netflix movie. Insert awkward thumbs up here.
According to fresh reports, a multi-million pound deal is currently being lined up that would see everyone’s favourite, painfully relatable, foursome return to our screens.
Before you start panic-texting the group chat, it’s worth noting: nothing is 100% confirmed just yet. But the rumours are looking pretty promising - and honestly, we’re choosing to believe.

For anyone who somehow missed it, the show originally aired between 2008 and 2010, following Will, Simon, Jay and Neil as they stumbled their way through sixth form, social disasters and some truly questionable decision-making.
It then spawned two wildly successful films, including the 2011 movie, which smashed box office records for a UK comedy. So yeah, safe to say Netflix knows exactly what it’s doing here.
The big question: will the original cast be back? Reports suggest they could return, although nothing has been officially locked in yet.
And honestly, would it even work without them? We simply refuse to imagine a world where Jay isn’t chatting absolute nonsense, Simon isn’t relentlessly love-struck, Neil isn’t… Neil, and Will isn’t one awkward interaction away from a meltdown.

There’s also talk that the project could bring the gang back for the first time in around 16 years, which is both exciting and mildly terrifying when you realise how long it’s been.
As for what the plot might look like, that’s still under wraps. A reunion as fully grown adults? A chaotic holiday 2.0? A stag weekend? At this point, we’ll take anything.
Netflix hasn’t confirmed the project publicly just yet, but with talks reportedly heating up, it feels like it might only be a matter of time before we get the announcement we deserve.
Until then, we’ll be rewatching old episodes and pretending we don’t still know every line.
