'The Perfect Couple' Viewers Complain They're All Being Distracted By The Same Thing

Apart from that it's really good!

While it may currently be sitting top of the ratings on Netflix, there’s one aspect of new show, The Perfect Couple, that has got a whole load of viewers quite irritated…

And while there’s no doubting that it’s one of the season’s most binge-worthy shows alongside the equally watchable Kaos, many, many people have taken real issue with one aspect of each episode.

An adaptation of the 2018 novel of the same name, the mystery drama miniseries stars Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, Eve Hewson, and Dakota Fanning and sees an upmarket wedding in Nantucket end tragically before it even begins when a body washes up on the beach on the morning of the ceremony.

With everyone staying at the house for the weekend now a suspect, it makes for a classic ‘isolation' mystery.

Great cast - tick. Beautiful setting - tick. Classic whodunnit set up - tick. So what is it that viewers are finding so annoying? Well, it’s the dancing.

Performed by pretty much the entire cast near the beginning of each episode, the oddly choreographed dance is performed with varying levels of enthusiasm.

And plenty of viewers have made their feelings known, with one labelling it: “That f**king dance scene, man,” while another said: “It’s cringe af, you can see every single actor dying right now.”

Someone else said it was ‘the moment they decided to switch off and give up watching’ while loads were simply left confused, wondering who thought it was a good idea.

And as it turns out, the cast were also less than enthused about it.

The Perfect Couple star Meghann Fahy told Variety: “Everyone was on that group saying they didn’t want to do this because we just didn’t understand.

“I actually have a really, really huge issue with learning choreography so I was very nervous about it.”

Ishaan Khatter, who plays Shooter in the Netflix show, said: “I don’t think any of us could make sense of doing this choreography in these characters.

“We’re like, ‘Wait where does this fit into the scheme of things? This was not part of the assignment!’”

But while the majority of the cast seem unhappy over the intro dance, Liev Schreiber was apparently having the time of his life, practicing his dance moves in his trailer only to be disappointed when he wasn't on camera much for the sequence!

The Perfect Couple is available to watch now on Netflix.
