Lush's Snow Fairy Shampoo Is Hitting Stores Today

Ethical cosmetics brand, Lush, has confirmed that the first part of its cult-classic Snow Fairy collection will be is hitting stores today!

Right on cue for those autumnal nights drawing in, in recent years the iconic Snow Fairy collection has become synonymous with the festive period. 

Invented 18 years ago by Lush’s Global Retail Director Claire Constantine, daughter of Co-Founders and Product Inventors Mark and Mo Constantine the range will be back on shelves this September. 

“When I was around 11 mum and dad brought home a pink shower gel with no scent,” Constantine writes on the Lush website.

“I found it in the bathroom and told them that I loved the colour but it needed to smell of candy fluff and my favourite perfume. That product became called ‘Snow Fairy’ and is now our best selling Christmas product year after year.

“I still love it to this day!”

For anyone who’s super keen to get their hands on something right now Lush has revealed the Snow Fairy shower gel will actually be available from today! (Thursday 24 August).

The rest of the Snow Fairy collection will be returning to stores from September 21st as the cosmetics brand unveils its Christmas range for 2023, with prices for the collection ranging from £3.75 to £25.

In a press release earlier this month, the company said: “For sparkle like there’s snow tomorrow, lather up in candy-sweet suds that shimmer with magic that comes but once a year.

"Lush festive favourite, Snow Fairy, is a cult fragrance making a comeback for its 17th year. The delicious bubblegum-scented range will feature returning classics as well as new innovations, for a sugary sweet Christmas.”

“The sweet candy floss scent of the seasonal exclusive will launch on Thursday 24th August in Lush shops globally and online, a few weeks before the festive collections,” the company said.

According to Lush, last year it sold 216,000 Snow Fairy shower gels in the UK and Ireland - that’s roughly 232,800 kg of the product, or 1,500 full bath tubs!

A number of stores across the country are also hosting Snow Fairy after-hours lock-in events on September 21st, which will give customers an exclusive chance to ‘shop the range at their leisure’, alongside the chance to be shown the collection in depth by bath and body experts.
