People Filed Complaints About Stray Cat Roaming Around Law Firm, So They Hired Him

This is one to paws-itively brighten your day... It looks like one law firm in Brazil have a new paw-yer on their hands... get it... Lawyer?

Leon, a stray cat, was found roaming around the reception area of a law firm in Brazil after heavy rainfall, however people started to complain about Leon hanging around as he was so small people were afraid they'd step on him.

So instead of sending him back to the streets, they hired him! At first Leon was hired to welcome people into the building, but he's quickly moved up the rankings and has now been hired as a Lawyer.

And Dr. Leon now has his very own badge, just so everyone knows exactly who they're talkin' to.

As reported by Bored Panda, Dr. Leon's representatives said: "In February it rains a lot in the state of Amazonia, so he arrived at OAB fleeing from the rain and thunder. For a week, he was fed and protected in a box. Until he got hired.

"[They said] that there was no space for him because it is a serious institution. So the President [of the OAB] determined the hiring and gave him an employee badge."

From rags to riches, the Brazillian kitty is now a valued member of the workforce and thanks to him, the law firm has launched an animal rights institute, appropriately named 'Instituto Dr Leon'.

Dr Leon’s representatives continued: "Two months ago Leon was neutered and is already fully recovered. But veterinarians say he had a problem with his vocal cords as a result of suffering as a baby. He hardly meows, but we keep taking care of him. This motivated us to create the institute to help abused and abandoned animals.

"Unfortunately, we cannot house all [the animals], so we will fund the NGOs in town. We will be an example for Brazil [to follow]."
