Public Sector & NHS Discounts: Cashback & Discounts - For Every Step of Your Working Life

TOTUM is a dedicated discount platform that recognises the invaluable work of the UK’s public sector. It allows anyone working in government-run organisations, the emergency services, or registered charities to access student-level savings on everything from the weekly shop to major tech and travel.

Eligibility is broad! If you have a .gov.uk email address, work for the NHS, are part of the Police or Fire service, or work for a registered UK charity, you are eligible. It’s also open to local government employees and staff at government-funded educational institutions.

TOTUM Free is a digital membership giving you access to hundreds of online deals. TOTUM+ (£14.99) is our premium Salary Stretch tier. It includes a physical card, access to the TOTUM Cashback card, a free government-approved PASS ID, and international travel discounts.

As a TOTUM+ member, you receive a pre-pay card that earns you up to 14% cashback at over 80 major retailers. This includes huge names like Sainsbury’s, Asda, M&S, Waitrose, IKEA, and John Lewis. For most public sector families, the cashback earned on groceries alone pays for the membership in a matter of weeks.

The simplest way is using your official work email address (e.g., your .gov.uk or NHS email). Once you click the verification link in your inbox, you’re in! If you don't have a work email, you can simply upload a photo of your staff ID card or a recent payslip.

Yes! TOTUM+ members get exclusive access to travel discounts through National Express, TrainPal, and Expedia. Whether you’re looking to reduce the cost of getting to work or planning a well-deserved family holiday, your public sector status unlocks significantly lower prices.

Absolutely. We know public sector workers need reliable tech for home and office. You can access exclusive pricing on Apple and Samsung devices, as well as savings on home essentials at B&Q, Currys, and Argos.

Yes! Your TOTUM+ membership includes an international discount card (such as the ITIC for teachers or IYTC for those under 35). This gives you professional recognition and access to over 150,000 discounts in more than 90 countries—ideal for saving on museum entry, car hire, and hotels abroad.

The free government-approved 18+ PASS ID included with TOTUM+ is a legal proof-of-age card. It’s a convenient, secure way to prove your identity at shops or venues without having to carry—and potentially lose—your passport or driving licence.

With our members saving an average of £550 per year, the value is clear. Between the grocery cashback (averaging £243/year) and the high-value discounts on tech and travel, the membership is designed to act as a significant financial boost to your monthly take-home
