What is Harmonize Music? The app turning playlists into conversations

Ever made a playlist for a mate, spent approximately three hours getting the song order just right, then sent it over with a very casual 'here you go'? Same. But what if sharing music could be a little more social?

Enter Harmonize Music – an app built around one simple idea: turning your playlists into conversations.

Described as the 'home of digital mixtapes', Harmonize is a music-focused social platform where you can create, share and discover playlists, connect with other music fans and, well, generally make a bigger deal out of the music you love.

So, what can you actually do on Harmonize?

First things first, you can bring your existing music library with you. Harmonize lets you connect services including Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube Music, so you can build and share playlists using the music you already listen to.

Think of it as a digital mixtape, but without having to find a blank cassette, a pen and a way to explain to your friends why Side B is significantly better than Side A.

You can also share playlists, follow other users and discover music from the wider Harmonize community. Whether you're creating a soundtrack for a night out, putting together your latest 'songs I can't stop listening to' collection or introducing your mates to a band they absolutely need to hear, it's all about sharing your taste.

And if you're the organised one in your friendship group, you'll probably like Collabs. These let multiple people contribute to shared playlists – perfect for building the ultimate party playlist, road-trip soundtrack or 'everyone gets three songs' playlist. TOTUM members get unlimited Collabs from sign-up.

And here's the good bit: TOTUM members save 50%

Harmonize is free to join, but TOTUM members can get 50% off Harmonize Premium.

That means the Ambassador plan is £1.49 a month (usually £2.99), while the Musician plan is £2.50 a month (usually £4.99). TOTUM members also get unlimited Collabs from the moment they join.
