Fortune Teller Nostradamus Has Made Four Chilling Predictions For 2025
We just can't seem to catch a break...
Back in the 16th century, famed French astrologer, Michel de Nostradame, made a whole host of worldly predictions - many of which have seemingly come to fruition…
The famous clairvoyant left behind many mysterious prophecies that have fascinated people for centuries with his four-line verses - called quatrains - analysed and reinterpreted by various scholars and enthusiasts over the years.
According to Yearly-Horoscope, 70% of Nostradamus’ predictions actually came true, including the death of Henry II in 1559, the rise of Adolf Hitler, and references to John F. Kennedy's assassination (though some of these predictions were vague, to say the least).
In more recent years, people have pointed towards yet more of the fortune teller's prophecies, with many saying he correctly predicted both the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the soaring cost of living affecting everything from food to fuel, with his grim prediction: ‘So high will the bushel of wheat rise / That man will be eating his fellow man’.

Did Nostradamus predict that the world will end in 2025?
There’s no evidence to suggest that Nostradamus predicted the end of the world in 2025 - but if his other prophecies are anything to go by, that might be scant consolation…
What has Nostradamus predicted for 2025?
War and plague to surface in Europe
It may not be good news for those of us in the UK this year, as Nostradamus has implicated us in one of his verses.
“When those from the lands of Europe, See England set up her throne behind. Her flanks, there will be cruel wars. The ancient plague will be worse than enemies.”
The mention of England (the concept of Britain didn’t exist in Nostradamus’ time) withdrawing into itself could be a reference to Brexit - and with the ongoing war in Ukraine and the tensions in the Middle East becoming more serious by the day, could the UK be dragged further into conflicts that have more serious implications for us at home?

The Rise of the Aquatic Empire
“From the depths, a ruler will rise, In the midst of floods reaching to the skies. Empires will fall, and new waves will reign, The Aquatic Empire, from the realm of the ocean.”
Another grim prediction suggests that 2025 will see massive floods sweeping coastal cities, displacing millions of people.
As governments struggle to manage the crisis, it seems a ‘mysterious leader’ will emerge from the depths of the sea, claiming dominion over the new aquatic territories, with the rise of this ‘Aquatic Empire’, challenging the existing world order.
Numerous data sources show global average temperatures, storms, and wildfires are all on the rise - and as the effects of climate change continue to deliver more and more extreme weather right across the globe, it doesn’t seem too unlikely that 2025 could deliver some devastating events with the potential to destabilise government rule.

Cosmic Collision
And as if we didn’t have enough to worry about here on Earth, it seems that the universe is out to get us as well.
In the night sky of 2025, says Nostradamus, a colossal asteroid, known as the ‘Harbinger of Fate’, will approach Earth. The fate of humanity hangs in the balance as the asteroid’s trajectory gets increasingly closer to our planet, with this cosmic collision threatening to change the course of history forever.
“From the cosmos, a fireball will rise, A harbinger of fate, the world pleads. Science and fate in a cosmic dance, The fate of the Earth, a second chance.”
Could this relate to the catchily-named 2024 PT5 that is due to make a close (in cosmic terms) pass to Earth in January 2025?
Likely originating from the Arjuna asteroid belt - a diverse jumble of space rocks that orbit the sun close to our planet - calculations indicate the asteroid will orbit Earth in January 2025.
NASA plans to use its large Goldstone Solar System Radar observer to follow the asteroid, which the agency says should stay about five times the distance between Earth and the moon - so probably nothing to worry about!
Volcanoes and floods in Brazil
And finally, many people believe the words below could refer to the southern part of the Americas.
“Garden of the world near the new city, In the path of the hollow mountains: It will be seized and plunged into the Tub, Forced to drink waters poisoned by sulphur.”
It’s been suggested that the ‘Garden of the world’, refers to the Amazon rainforest, while ‘the new city’ could be the Brazilian capital of Brasilia.
Mountainous terrain abounds in South America, while the mention of being ‘plunged into the Tub’ suggests flooding and ‘sulphur’ implies volcanic activity.
‘Mysterious rumblings’ near a long-dormant volcano set Cariocas on edge a couple of years ago… could this be repeated on a more serious level in 2025?
